Smallmonster and a couple of friends from the neighborhood learned a hard lesson today. They were over in the neighbor’s yard playing when they found a bee’s nest. Someone thought it would be a good idea to throw rocks at the nest to see what would happen. Well Mommy was in the garage when I saw Smallmonster running as fast as he could screaming about being stung. Mommy tore off his shirt (and in the process got stung) and started counting the bee stings. He had two on each shoulder and after getting him in the house and getting his shorts off out came more bee’s. He was stung at least 8 times and wasn’t a happy camper. Smallmonster vehemently denies throwing any rocks but Mommy told him the bee’s didn’t care who was throwing they just wanted to get even! May this be the only bee incidents for the rest of the year…

Picassa- 091031 Happy Halloween Saturday, October 31, 2009All in all, not a bad year for the candy haul. Both of the boys "re-costumed". Josh with an old skeleton costume Mom made a few years back, and Jerrad is still fascinated with scream mask with the fake blood pump. The rain kept the traffic kind of low, but we still managed to have plenty of fun..Location: jmonsters PlaceDate: Oct 31, 2009Number of […]jmonsters

- 091011 A Drive Through The Great Smoky Mountian National Park Sunday, October 11, 2009We took the scenic route back from Gatlinburg, TN. First stopping in Pigeon Forge, so that Jerrad could finish using his go-cart passes, and Josh could finish his quest for tickets at the arcade. The traffic was pretty heavy until we got inside the park... from there nothing but gorgeous views. We stopped along side the road to do a bit of creek stomping and […]jmonsters

- 090808 Cayuga Nature Center Saturday, August 8, 2009We stopped by Cayuga Nature Center on the way back from Taughannock Falls. The tree house was really cool, and the peacocks at the mini-zoo was pretty eager to show off his feathers. He made up for the fox, who had a tough time keeping his eyes open. We also enjoyed the butterfly house and the “living” sculptures. http://blog.jmonsters.net/2009/08/08/cayuga- […]jmonsters

We hope smallmonster is doing OK! That is a lot of stings to have all at once. Hope everything else is going well! Is tallmonster still enjoying football?
Oh, that must have really hurt!
I hope he feels better real soon!
Reminds me of another little boy who got into a bee’s nest …
Josh, have Daddy tell you about it … and about how he shut the door on his little sister …
They had to get into the tub with baking soda and then sit on the couch till they calmed down.
Grandpa and Grandma stared at them for a long time to see if they had any allergic reaction. (they didn’t.)
I’m so, so sorry …
